How to check 2025 BECE for school and private results at eResults
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is yet to release the results of students who sat for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination. In this blog post, we will show you how to check the 2025 BECE for school and private results online.
In a statement sighted by Pretertiary.com, WAEC said it would dispatch the 2025 BECE results of school candidates to their respective Junior High Schools through the Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors of Education.
Alternatively, WAEC said school and private candidates who so desire to independently check their Basic Education Certificate Examination results may also do so at the BECE results checking portal https://eresults.waecgh.org.

3. Re-enter the Index number to confirm if it’s correct
4. Select Exam type (Eg. BECE School or BECE Private)
5. Choose the Exam year (2024)
6. Enter your Serial number (Eg. 180000000001)
7. Enter PIN (Eg A1B2C3D4E5F9)
8. Tick the Captcha and
9. Click on the submit button and wait for a new window to display your 2024 BECE result.
A total of 603,328 candidates, comprising 297,250 males and 306,078 females, from nineteen thousand, five hundred and five (19,505) participating Junior High Schools (JHSs) entered for the school examination.
This includes seventy-two (72 ) candidates with visual impairment, two hundred and sixty-three (239 ) with hearing impairment, and one hundred and sixty-one (161) candidates with other test accommodation needs.
The examination was conducted at two thousand, one two hundred and thirty-seven (2,237 ) centres across the country. Out of the total number, two thousand, five hundred and twenty-six (2,526) candidates were absent.
The BECE for Private Candidates recorded a total entry figure of one thousand, three hundred and ninety (1,661) candidates. This was made up of eight hundred and fifty-eight (858) males and eight hundred and three (803 ) females.
Fifteen (15) centres, mostly in the regional capitals, were used for the BECE for Private Candidates. Out of the total number of candidates who entered for the examination, fifty-seven (57) were absent.
To ensure the success of the exams, WAEC, in collaboration with Ghana Education (GES) and the Ministry of Education (MoE), deployed 2,237 supervisors, 2,016 assistant supervisors, and 21,206 invigilators.
