Adutwum hints to be MoE if Bawumia wins 2024 presidential polls

Bosomtwe Member of Parliament and Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has hinted he to be selected as the Minister of Education under the tenure of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as President should the flagbearer win the 2024 presidential polls.
Expressing hope to be appointed Education Minister in the next NPP government, Adutwum in an interview monitored by Pretertiary.com urged Ghanaians to vote for his party in the upcoming general election slated for December 7, 2024.
“NPP will come to power in 2025, I want Ghanaians to remember me as somebody who served as a Minister of Education (MoE) under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government and had the opportunity to serve again under Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s government,” Honourable Yaw Osei Adutwum said in the interview.
The Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe constituency, Dr Osei Adutwum was appointed as Deputy Minister for Education in March 2017 by President of Nana Akufo-Addo after he was voted into power in the 2016 election.
In the 2020 academic year, he was subsequently appointed to serve in Akufo-Addo’s second term as the substantive Minister of Education taking over from Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh who served as Minister of Education from 2017 to 2020.
The Minister of Education later this year was tipped to be selected as the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the December 7 election but unfortunately, former Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh was picked over him.
