Appointments Committee vets ‘new’ MoE Haruna Iddrisu & others

The Appointments Committee of Parliament on Monday, January 20, 2025, vetted the Minister of Education-designate and former Communications Minister, Haruna Iddrisu among other ministerial nominees.
This follows President John Dramani Mahama’s submission of list of names of individuals appointed to serve as Ministers of State in his government to the Parliament of Ghana through the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin Sumana Kingsford.
Others vetted with the Minister to be in Charge of Education were Kwame Governs Agbodza, Minister-Designate for Roads and Highways and Eric Opoku, Minister-Designate for Food and Agriculture
During the vetting process, the House’s Appointments Committee assessed the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and readiness to lead their respective ministries.
Throughout this week, the following ministerial nominees appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to serve in his third time in government will also be vetted by the Appointments Committee of Parliament;
