GES introduces ‘support’ WhatsApp numbers on promotion portal

The Ghana Education Service (GES), as part of an effort to swiftly address concerns of teaching and non-teaching staff, has introduced three administrative WhatsApp numbers on the teachers’ promotion portal.
The live support WhatsApp numbers on the Ghana Education Digital Platform (GEDP) are aimed at allowing teaching staff to chat directly with the Service support personnel about their concerns and receive assistance.
To use the dedicated WhatsApp feature on the promotion portal, click on the WhatsApp icon located at the bottom right corner of the promotion application portal, and select the admin you wish to chat with.
How to chat with GES on WhatsApp at GEDP
1. Visit the GES teacher promotion portal
2. Click on the WhatsApp icon located at the bottom right corner of the promotion portal
3. Select one of the three admins you want to chat with and briefly submit your concerns.
In other news, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has added a Reset feature to the teacher promotion portal, allowing applicants to clear any previous applications they have made and reapply afresh.
The introduction of the new rest feature follows teachers’ complaints that they are unable to make changes to their application in the event of an error, which could lead to disqualification.
In a social media post sighted by Pretertiary.com, the Ghana Education Service said, “If there was any mistake in your submission, or you want to change anything in your submission, you now have the chance to fix it.”
How to use the GES promotion portal reset feature
1. Visit the GES teacher promotion portal
2. If your Application code was invalid, register again to obtain a new code. If not, maintain your existing code.
3. Log in with your Staff ID and Application Code.
4. After logging in, click on the Reset button.
5. A new application form will display. Fill in all details and submit.
6. A new submission automatically erases the earlier one submitted.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) management says its ultimate goal is to swiftly address the concerns of teaching and non-teaching staff to ensure qualified teachers are able to submit applications for promotion.
