MoE releases 2025 TVET/SHS placement results at the cssps.gov.gh

The Ghana Education Service (GES) under the Ministry of Education (MoE) on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, released the second-cycle school (SHS/TVET) placement results of prospective students who sat for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
“CSSPS IS LIVE! Check your Ward’s placement. Placement is free, and checking placement is also free! Don’t pay money to anyone,” the Deputy Minister for Education, Dr Clement Apaak, announced on social media.
The release of the SHS/TVET placement results of the over 600,000 BECE graduates was based on 5 sets of data, namely the school register, master file or bio file, choice file, vacancy file, and results file.
GES has urged students to visit https://cssps.gov.gh to check their second-cycle school placement results or visit https://www.cssps.gov.gh/hub/self-placement to do self-placement if they were not automatically placed by the computer system.
Students who were not automatically placed at the login of the CSSPS portal will see “No automatic placement has been made for you at this time. Kindly visit the Self-Placement section to choose from the available schools.”
“They are to log on to www.cssps.gov.gh. Enter your 10-digit BECE index number followed by the last 2 digits of the year of examination. For example, 100000000025 for the year 2025 and the Date of Birth,” it said.
Acting Deputy Director-General (Q & A), Dr Munawaru Issahaque, GES, instructed all Regional Directors of Education to communicate the release of the school placement results to District Directors and Heads of schools.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has warned that no second-cycle school (SHS/TVET) is permitted to admit students outside the official placement without prior written approval from GES.
2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates placed in one of their selected second-cycle schools are expected to report to their respective schools on October 18, 2025.
GES has directed Heads of second-cycle schools to ensure that registration is conducted smoothly in line with the provided guidelines, stating that any infractions, including unauthorized admissions, will attract administrative sanctions.
Regional and District Directors have been tasked to provide supervisory support to ensure compliance to guarantee a transparent and successful admission process for the 2025 academic year.
