Primetime condemns ‘social media’ attacks on NSMQ contestants

The producer of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz, Primetime Limited citing cyberbullying has condemned personal attacks on NSMQ contestants from some social media users.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of this year’s grand finale of the NSMQ held in Cape Coast, the Managing Director, said while it was allowed to troll the competing schools, cyberbullying directed at the individual contestants was unacceptable.
“It is disheartening to see personal attacks directed at our contestants; individuals who have put their hearts into preparing for this moment.
There’s a difference between good nurtured trolling of schools and personal attacks on the contestants,” she stated.
What we all enjoy is the trolling of the schools. But the personal attacks and cyberbullying of the contestants themselves must not be entertained,” the Director of Primetime Limited told students and stakeholders.
