Primetime gives prelim, 1/8, quarter, semi & final dates for NSMQ

Producer of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz, Primetime Limited, has announced the dates for preliminary, One-eight, quarter-final, semi-final, and grand final for the 2025 NSMQ scheduled from October 13 through to October 30, 2025.
In a social media post sighted by Pretertiary.com, Primetime Limited announced that it will on Tuesday October 7, 2025, launch the 2025 edition of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ).
On the same date, the NSMQ producer said it will commence preliminary balloting for the national championship of the 2025 Science and Mathematics Quiz.
Starting the preliminary stage on October 13 to 17, Primetime said one-eight will be on October 19 to 21, the quarter-final on October 23 to 25, the semi-final on October 27, and the grand finale on October 30, 2025.
For the second time in National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) history since its inception in 1993, a total of 174 Senior High Schools (SHSs) will be participating in the 2025 national championship of NSMQ competition.
The first time history was made last year as the 2024 edition of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) featured 157 Senior High Schools, a number many thought could not be surpassed.
Included in the 174 record-making figure are 27 seeded Senior High Schools from the 2024 edition of the NSMQ, 106 regional qualifier winners, 32 top-runners-up, and nine private Senior High Schools.
This year, a total of 15 Senior High Schools (SHSs) are making their first appearance at the national championship of the National Science and Mathematics (NSMQ).
The new entrant Senior High Schools to participate in the 2025 NSMQ competition are Abomusu STEM SHS, Agona SHTS, Akro SHTS, Anum Presby SHS, Attafuah SHTS, Juaboso SHS, and Mankessim SHTS
The rest are Ngleshie Amanfro SHS, Nyakrom SHTS, Our Lady of Lourdes Girls’ SHS, Prampram SHS, Presby SHS, Adeiso Senya SHS, T.I. AMASS, Salaga, and Wovenu SHTS.
