WAEC cautions against fake BECE, WASSCE results checker agents
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has cautioned the public, particularly students, to be wary of individuals who pose as vendors selling WASSCE and BECE results checker cards or vouchers.
WAEC’s caution follows several complaints received by students being duped or scammed in the purchase of the WASSCE or BECE result scratch card from such unapproved agents or vendors.
In a discussion with Pretertiary.com, a WAEC official said that while the Examinations Council sells result checker vouchers, it has approved other electronic voucher vendors to sell WASSCE and BECE result cards.
The WAEC official, however, indicated that the not-for-profit organisation will not be responsible for issues with the purchase of examination result checker vouchers from third-party vendors or agents.
