WAEC to now conduct WASSCE for Private Candidates twice a year
The WASSCE for Private Candidates formerly also known as November/December or Nov/Dec will now be conducted twice a year, the management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has said.
In a social media post sighted by Pretertiary.com, the not-for-profit-making organization said the WASSCE for Private will be conducted first and second series with the former being in January and the latter in October.
The introduction of the two editions of the national examination for private candidates the West African Examinations Council say is to enable WASSCE for School graduates to apply for tertiary admission in good time.
Registration for the new edition of the WASSCE for Private Candidates to commence in the next academic year will start on Monday, October 21, 2024, and end on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
“Do you know that WASSCE for Private Candidates will now be conducted twice a year? The 1st series (WASSCE PC 1) will be in January and the 2nd series will be in October.
Take advantage of the two editions and secure your tertiary admission in good time. Registration starts on Monday, 21st October and ends on Tuesday, 31st December 2024,” the Examinations Council said in the post.
How to register for 2024 Nov/Dec
1. Visit the WAEC Nov/Dec registration website here
2. Fill in the required security information data, i.e. password, security question, etc.
3. Fill in your personal information.
4. Upload your picture.
5. Upload your signature.
6. Fill in your personal information.
7. Select the Region and the Centre where you wish to take the examination.
8. Select the subject (s) you intend to write about.
9. Print your voucher and send it to any of the banks
10. Pay the appropriate fees at the bank or by Visa card ONLINE.
11. You will use your Invoice Number to access your Index number and admission notice from mid-October, 2024.
